NO artist is pleased, there is no satisfaction whatsoever at any time. There is only queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.
I am a Graphic/Web Designer from New York. I have an Associate's degree in both Graphic Design and Web Design/Interactive Media, from The Art Institute of NYC. I have held positions with the state at the Department of Small Business Services, at the award winning ad agency BBH, as well as WhatWorks Inc, a small agency based out of Long Island. I have been cutting my teeth in the design field for about three years now, I recent landed a Graphic/Web Position with Play-It Productions. I am also doing freelance work.
Done with school for now I hope to start making a living at this design thing. As I look ahead to the next chapter in my career it is looking brighter than ever. I love what I do, and I am growing and expanding my skill set every day.
Devon Deaundre Linen the person. Well aside from my design career, I am absolutely obsessed with creating. I love my art. I have too many hobbies to keep track of sometimes.
Thus a few of my interests have taken a backseat while I focus on my career. My very first love, drawing, I was a huge sketcher and doodler growing up, and it was the very first thing I ever thought I was really good at. I also love music, in high school I bought a guitar. I do not think it was because of my brother, but he did have his first. I played for years, I even started a band where I played the guitar and wrote the songs. Oh yeah and I tried to sing. Our name was Some Chick with Green hair, a lot of people hated the name but we absolutely loved it.
One of my hobbies is creative writing, I started writing in about 2003-2005, I am not sure. I really love it. I have only written short stories thus far, but one day I intend to write a full length novel.
